Room Attendants
The Econo Lodge Inn & Suites is seeking applicants to fill vacancies in the Housekeeping Department.
We are looking for team members who display a good customer service approach, and who enjoy working with others.  Applicants will be selected based on work ethic, honesty, attitude, and reliability.
General activities of this position include:
...To clean hotel rooms quickly, neatly, and efficiently.
...To ensure that guest room corridors are clean.
...To maintain a neat and clean cart, equipment, storage rooms, and supplies.
...Report any deficiencies in the guest rooms or property.
 
Hotel Maintenance Technician
 
We are looking for a team member with good communication skills, a good customer service attitude, an ability to prioritize competing work demands, and who enjoys working with others. Applicants should also demonstrate work ethic, honesty, attitude, and reliability.
Primary responsibilities of the position include:
...Maintaining the basic upkeep of all rooms and common areas by ensuring all furniture, appliances, and electrical equipment such as televisions, refrigerators, door locks and light fixtures are in working order.
...Ensuring all paint and flooring meet company standards.
...Repairing or cleaning HVAC systems such as individual air conditioning units as needed.
...Cleaning and maintaining the hotel’s exterior spaces such as the parking lot, swimming pool, landscaping, snow removal, landscaping, weed control, irrigation, etc.
 
Requirements:
...Applicants must have working knowledge of plumbing, painting, electrical, and other general repair skills.
...Must have two years of hotel maintenance experience.
...Must have BC class 5 drivers licence.
...Must have a Pool Operator certificate.
...Must have Occupational First Aid level 1, WHIMIS, fall protection and ladder safety certificates
...Must have high school or equivalent diploma.
...Possesses good organizational and prioritization skills.
...Must be able to work independently and with others.
...Must possess superior customer service and communication skills
...Must be able to push, pull, lift and carry 50+ pounds. (furniture, a/c units, etc)
...Must be able to work in summer heat and winter cold conditions.
...Frequently walks, bends, climbs, kneels, and extends reach to complete assigned tasks.
...Possesses the physical ability to perform all of the above mentioned duties within a defined period of time.
...Ability to work independently.
...Ability to communicate in an English work environment.
The position is permanent full time (30-40 hours). Shifts are 8 hours and and include weekends. Pay $21-23/hr. Dental, health and vision benefits are available.
